The Schemm's and the Seifferlein's - our first original settlers to America - who came over on the same boat from Germany and landed in Michigan. Several marriages happened between the families, such as this couple.

"Passengers to America" list gives these names. I am adding more Schemm's on that list to this line until they can be placed. We need more records.

Dolores Demmer Gailey and myself have pondered over the children for years.

We also wrote to Ann Faulkner at the Mount Clemons Library working on this Schemm list. Dolores worked with Carl Middledorf, a secretary to this church cemetery in the 1990's. He was an invaluable help to piece the Seifferlein and Schemm lines.

There is a cousin Karen Schemm Kramer whose work I also paralleled with on familysearch.org. Karen had some documented sources for these people. Her additions are labeled "KSK".

Cousin Duane Kleino went to St. Peter's and researched our line, May 2017. He reported that there are no headstones. The bodies were moved from one cemetery to another.

"Combined information including direct read from St Peters Church Records. All at St Peters Cemetery, (Halfway) Eastpointe. No markers, moved from old cemetery.
