Attica - Halk Anderson, 55, of Attica, passed away in the St. Elizabeth Hospital East, Lafayette on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12:47 p.m. following an illness with cancer.
Halk was born in Oneida, TN on December 20, 1960. He was the son of the late Edgar and Frances Marie (Copeland) Anderson. He has lived most of his life in Attica and attended Attica High School.
Halk was presently working at Myers Steel Fabricating Company in Attica for the past 29 years.
Halk was raised in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to camp and fish. He also enjoyed tinkering in his yard and especially the time spent with his family. You could always find him with a cup of coffee in his hands.
On May 29, 1996 Halk married Kim J. Kirby in Attica.
He leaves behind his wife, Kim of 20 years; a daughter, Amy (Chuck) Carroll, Havana, IL; two sons, Richard (Jamie) Knee, Topeka, IL and Gage Anderson, at home; three grandchildren, Mercedes Cooper, Eric Carroll and Dylan Sally; a great-granddaughter, Haydenn Cooper; four brothers, Harry Anderson, Jamestown, TN; Benny Anderson, Missouri; Cliff (Brenda) Anderson, Jamestown, TN and Joe (Linda) Anderson, Jamestown, TN; four sisters, Joan (Jim) Martin, Leesburg, IN; Julie Reed, Fort Wayne; Kay Hyso, Muncie and Mary Anderson, Elkhart; two nephews, J.J. and David Anderson, Attica. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie E. Anderson.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, December 10th, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. .
