DANIEL J. AURANDT Mr. Aurandt, 85, of 408 W. 2nd St., Williamsburg, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27,1986, in his home, following a lengthy Illness. Mr. Aurandt retired from Westvaco, Williamsburg plant, in 1965, after 23 years' service. Prior to that he had been employed at the Harbison-Walker Stone Quarry, Hollidaysburg RD. He also retired as a caretaker of the Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg, in 1982, after 30 years’ service, He was born Nov. 5, 1900, in Catharine Township, the son of Alfred and Martha (Johnson) Aurandt, and June 20, 1936, In Cumberland, Md., married Sara M. Loose.
Surviving are his wife, six children: Wanda L. Tlmperley of Philadelphia, Sara J. Lower of Decatur, Ala.; Daniel R. of Huntingdon and Shirley M. Kurtz. Thomas A and Kenneth D. of Williamsburg, and 11 grandchildren, also surviving is a brother, Charles R. of Williamsburg.
Mr. Aurandt was a member of the Williamsburg Church of God, where he had served as youth director, Sunday School superintendent and teacher and lay minister. He also served on the board of trustees until May 1985. He served in the Army Reserves from 1920 to 1922. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m. Saturday In the
Bolger-Friedline Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
