Ruby Marie Buss was born on November 20, 1934 in the Township of Reseburg, rural Thorp, Wisconsin, to Albert and Ida (Gorsegner) Buss. She attended Colby Rural School in the Town of Reseburg, and graduated from Thorp High School in 1953. Ruby was employed for over 50 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper at the Thorp Courier. After her retirement, Ruby continued to live in Thorp until entering Oakbrook Health & Rehab in December 2014.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and baking cookies. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Ruby is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harold, Elmer and Bernard Buss; and two sisters, Vera Roix and Mildred DeLeske.
