Ralph Sanderson, 56, died Wednesday in Henry County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he was chairman of the Pastor Parish and had been song leader for many years. He was a member of Henry County Bowling Association where he served as president, 1977-78. He retired this year from Delco-Remy in Anderson after 28 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European theater. He received the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Deanna Kingery; his father; his stepmother, Biddy; and two sisters, Mable Peacock and Helen Jean Shock. His mother, Alice, died in 1943.
