Arlene Ertner (05/23/1925 - 09/08/2010)

Arlene Mae Ertner, nee' Viglicky of Spokane passed away September 8, 2010 at her home. She was born in Edholm, NE on May 23, 1925 to Anton and Josephine Viglicky. Arlene retired from W.T. Grant's in Spokane. She worked for the Ronald McDonald House for 20 years and became part of that family. She supported several charitable organizations with her time and love. Her infectious laugh, joy of life and gracious living will be missed by her family and all of her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lawrence W. Ertner, (Lt. Col. USAF, Ret.) and her brother Frederic Viglicky. Arlene is survived by her six children Lawrence W. (Kristine) Ertner, Jr., Kathleen A. (Thomas) Heckler, Douglas L. Ertner, Barbara J. Brown, Thomas M. (Thomas Sacco) Ertner and William A. (Joyce) Ertner; her sister Evelyn Pollard and brother Richard Viglicky both of Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2010 from 12-7pm with vigil rosary services beginning at 7pm, all at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11am and will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4515 N. Alberta, Spokane. Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.
