Mrs. David Lantz, 74, Dies; Services Friday

Kalona, Iowa ----- Mrs. David Lantz, 74, died 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington County hospital where she had been a patient for several days. Mrs. Lantz had been ill for the past six years and bedfast for three years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the East Union Mennonite Church with Rev. D. J. Fisher and Rev. Edward Diener in charge. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery. The body will be at the Yoder Funeral Home until time of service.

Eva Delilah Miller Lantz was born Aug. 18, 1877, in Middlebury, Ind., the daughter of Daniel A. and Elizabeth Yoder Miller. She came to Iowa in 1897 after living 14 years in Kansas.

She was married December 5, 1897 to Milo Kempf and they lived in Kalona until 1923 when they moved to Wayland. Mr. Kempf died in April 1924, in December of 1943 she again married David Lantz and they have resided in Kalona since that time, Mr. Lantz survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence J. Miller, Mrs. Milo J. Miller, both of Kalona; Mrs. Chester Miller, Wellman; three sons, Lloyd Kempf, Wayland; Glen Kempf, Charles City; Zene Kempf, Pasadena, Calif.

Four sisters, Mrs. Will Heimuth, Zink, Inman, Kansas; Mrs. Roy Troyer, Hesston, Kansas; Mrs. San Troyer, Harper, Kansas. Other survivors include four brothers, Roy Miller, Hutchinson, Kansas, Samuel Miller, Nampa, Idaho; Chris Miller, Harrisonburg, Va.; David Miller, Edwards, Mo.
