In Ohio, she was first married to Rev. Samuel Manier, 1850, a Methodist Minister from that state. Together they had four children, with two that survive; Mrs Penelope Piatt and Mrs Sarah Ann Piatt.

In Ohio, 1864, Rev Manier died and a year later Mrs Manier came to Piatt Co and settling on a farm there.
In 1880 she married, William Clark and five children were born to them, with two that survive; Sherman W. Clark of Iowa and John E. Clark of this city.
