Maurice served his country proudly in the United States Air Force where he was a veteran of three wars retiring after 21 years as a Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the Air Force he was a sales rep for Hunter Engineering before his second retirement. He enjoyed fishing with friends, hunting, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Lenora; two sons, Ronald Hysell and wife Sandra of OKC and Kenith Hysell of OKC; one daughter, Lorraine Johnston of Grain Valley, MO; two stepdaughters, Jan Woolnough and husband Jim of Kerrville, TX, and Linda Cooper of OKC; two brothers, Marvin Hysell and wife Mary of Tecumseh and Bill Hysell and wife Wilma of Midwest City; three sisters, Patty Heap, Betty Billings and husband Tom, and Carolyn Bullock and husband Chuck all of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren, Kendra Hysell, Rachel Hysell, Charissa Johnston and Michelle Johnston; one stepgrandson, Matt Morris and wife Lucinda; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Doris Hysell; sisters, Arlene Mitchell, Bernice Mills, Faye Hobson, Doris Albright, and Ruth Ann Bevel; and brother, Olen Hysell.
Funeral services: Friday, February 9, 2007 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
