Laura Virginia Johns, daughter of John and Savilla King Johns, was born at Abilene, Dickinson County, Kansas, October 21, 1876 and passed away at St. Mary's Hospital at Enid, Oklahoma, August 10, 1947, being 70 years, nine months and 15 days of age.
She was united in marriage with Louis Lierman, March 4, 1895, at Richmond, Ray County, Missouri, and to this union eight children were born, two of whom preceded their father in death. Mr. Lierman died June 19, 1928.
March 9, 1936 she was married to Charles C. Tomiska at Woodward, Oklahoma.
For 26 years she had lived in Woodward County for a time living souteast of Quinlan, Oklahoma, moving to Woodward, Oklahoma in 1938.
She was bapitized into the Catholic Church at an early age.
Survivors include her husband, C. C. Tomiska, Woodward, three sons, William F., Sherman, Oklahoma, Walter L., Quinlan, Oklahoma, and Lawrence H. Lierman, Sherman, Oklahoma and three daughters, Miss Marvel T. Lierman, Coalgate, Oklahoma, Mrs. Helen E. Whittaker, Belva, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Laura Rommell, Sherman, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Cain, Manchester, Kansas, and three brothers, Ed Johns, Quinlan, Oklahoma, Elmer Johns, Baldwinsville, New York, and John Johns, Enid, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mooreland, Oklahoma with Father Lynch of Coalgate, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial was made in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Division of the Mooreland Cemetery, Mooreland, Woodward County, Oklahoma.
