Emily Lydia Highland Fritzinger 96,formerly of Wind Gap,Pa.,passed away Saturday February 3,2007 in Gracedale,Upper Nazareth Township.Born April 10,1910 in Weatherly Pa.she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Edna (Sarley) Clewell.
Her husband Albert Highland died earlier.She started working at the age of 15 for Allen Candy Factory in Weatherly,later working for Just Born Candy as a supervisor.She managed several ladies clothing stores in Easton,traveling to New York City as a buyer.She had also worked at American Can Co,Washington Woodcraft and Valerie Fashion.
She is survived by three children Dolores Roberts oF Saylorsburg,Joanne Hillegass of Emmaus Pa. and Albert Highland of Freemont,Calif.two sisters Mary Jane Vaughn of Stewartsville,N.J.,and Pat Lake of Fla;a brother Bill Montz of Wind Gap;many grandchildren,great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter Nettie Stopp,sisters Gertrude Craigel,Hazel Reimold,Tina Walters and Anna Schweitzer, brothers Jack Montz,Robert Montz,Carl Montz and a grandson Robert R Hillegass 11.
