Vennie Sue Woodard, age 71, of Michigan City, IN passed away Friday August 17, 2012. Vennie was born on March 07, 1941 in Round Mountin Alabama to Barney and Marie (Shirey) Abernathy. Both Parents have preceded her in death. She married Edwin Woodard on January 11, 1958 in Lake Station, IN. He resides in Kouts, IN. She is also survived by her loving children Lena Day of South Carolina, Joseph Woodard, Timothy Woodard and Melissa (Dave) Morris of Indiana. Grandchildren Shannon (Julie), Paul (Torie), Ryan(Asthon), Nick(April), Angela, Tiffany, Brittany, Devyn, Brett, Rebecca, and Jacob. Great grandchildren Valerie, Preston, Ayden, Brody, and several more. Vennie is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Woodard, sister Annette and brother Gaynes. She worked for the Valparaiso school systems for most of her life, and she was an avid bowler. She wished not to have visitation or services.
