The Stark County Democrat, Canton, Ohio 7-13-1876: DIED. LICHTENWALTER—In Canton township, on the 7th inst., of a lingering illness of many years standing, Mrs. Elizabeth, wife of John Lichtenwalter, aged about fifty years.
Mrs. Lichtenwalter was the daughter of the late John Feighner, and she died on the home farm on the Steubenville road. She leaves her husband and one married daughter, Mrs. George Eyster, to lament the death of a kind wife and mother. The funeral services took place at the German Lutheran Church, and the remains were buried in the Rowland burial ground.
