Paul Robert Wellborn, age 86, of Plano, Texas, passed away April 14, 2017. Paul was born January 16, 1931, in Van Buren County, Iowa, to Stacy E. and Ferol (Eggleston) Wellborn. He married Carolyn Margaret Roberts on February 7, 1953, in Clayton, Missouri. Paul proudly served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Wellborn and wife, Lisa of McKinney, Texas and Tim Wellborn and wife, Pam of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Christine, Kara, Kelli, Brittany, Makenna, and Brecken; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Beryl E. Wellborn and Max C. Wellborn.
He was preceded in death by Stacy and Ferol Wellborn (parents), Carolyn Roberts (wife), Alex Wellborn (son), and Bert R. Wellborn (brother).
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
