He married his sweetheart, Bonnie Collard 21 Oct 1948. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Logan LDS Temple. Together, they raised 4 children and were married 68 years.
He was raised a farm boy and loved farming and gardening. He had great stories from his memories of the past and history of the area. He worked for 30 years at the Post Office and had several other jobs, but his favorite job was when he did Meals on Wheels for the elderly, and he helped them with more than just their meals. He was a very compassionate person, but the main focus of life was his family.
He was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings, including ward clerk and home teacher. He really enjoyed being a temple worker at the Ogden Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Delbert and Verl Patterson; and his sisters; Doris Moosman, Fern Leavitt and Arlene Harris.
Graveside services and interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
