RIVERDALE - Delbert Stewart Patterson passed away December 26, 2013, 33 years to the day after his father had passed. He was born July 12, 1926 in Riverdale, Utah to Vira Anna Stewart and Joseph Alexander Patterson.
He was born, raised, and was a lifelong resident of Riverdale.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the Western Canada Mission and as a stake and ward missionary on many occasions. Delbert and Lola served a church mission in Cambodia from 2001-2002, where they had many great experiences and made many eternal friends. He held various callings in the church throughout his life.

He also served in the Army, during World War II. Delbert was retired from Hill Air Force Base and was currently President of Patterson Land and Livestock, LLC. He enjoyed ranching his entire life.

He married the love of his life, Lola Jardine on April 1, 1955 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were the parents of seven children who were instilled with the fact that each was their favorite child. In reality, their children are blessed to have them as parents.

Delbert is survived by his wife Lola, children; Jana (Fred) Colvell, Ken (Norma) Patterson, Wayne (Cindy) Patterson, Max (Moana) Patterson, Joy (Mark) Austin, Paula (Steve) Carlson, Ross (Kim) Patterson, 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, his brother Joseph (Bonnie)Patterson and sister Arlene Harris.

He was greeted Thursday morning by his parents, sisters Fern & Doris, brother Verl, and numerous loved ones who have preceded him.
