Visitation for Crissie Mae Davis will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Crissie was born October 29, 1917 in Miami, Oklahoma to William Elbert Blackwell of Missouri and Nancy Ziegler of Oklahoma and she passed away February 3, 2007 in Bakersfield, California. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Blackwell of California; sister, Dorothy Brunton of Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Harold Wayne and Mildred Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Dale and Mary Davis; grandchildren, Michael Davis, Tracy Wiesner, Robin Davis and Cheryl Davis; many great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Crissie attended Temple Baptist Church and was very active with the Bakersfield Deaf Club. She also attended Bakersfield College. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
