Mr. Alfred George Brockmeyer, 88, of Hawk Point, MO, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, MO, the child of Frank and Mary (Eeftink) Brockmeyer. After attending the local schools, he went on to graduate from Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. On October 6, 1951, at Saint Rita Catholic Church in Vinita Park, MO, he married the love of his life, Ruth Maassen. The couple was blessed with five beautiful children, Sharon, Timothy, Jeanette, Jane and Barb. He worked for over 35 years as an electronic technician at McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Corporation, from which he later retired. Alfred was a very hard worker, and any task at hand he gave it 100%. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. Alfred built his own camper from scratch and in later years even worked as a handy man for other people, and his church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing as well. Alfred was such a kind person and had no enemies. His favorite saying was “I am a lover, not a fighter.” Alfred was blessed with many friends and family and will be remembered lovingly by them all.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son, Timothy Brockmeyer, one sister; Sister Rose Francis Brockmeyer.
