Soon after the end of her first marriage, Lucille married (Unknown) Marria. That marriage also ended quickly.
On 26 Jan 1946, she married Herman Julius Hoelzel. The wedding was performed by a justice of the peace in St. Charles County, Missouri.
Herman worked for the United States Post Office. Their first child was born in Cairo, Alexander County, Illinois in April of 1947. A second son was born in St. Louis, Missouri in January of 1948.
Lucille and Herman divorced when the boys were very young. He raised both of them in St. Louis County and remarried in 1961.
Lucille married (Unknown) White by 1961. By 1972, she was using the name Susan Lucille and married (Unknown) Reformat. That marriage did not last long, and she was known as Susan Lucille White by 1973. At some point, she gave birth to at least 1 daughter, most likely during the years she was married to Mr. White or Mr. Reformat.
Her oldest son, Robert Dale "Bobby" Hoelzel, was a police officer in Normandy, Missouri. He was killed in the line of duty in early 1977 when he responded to a jewelry store holdup.
Lucille married (Unknown) Miller, but they were divorced in 1987. She then married John Andrew Parry on 17 Jun 1994 in LaPorte County, Indiana under the name Susan Lucille Miller. He had been married twice before and was a retired truck driver. He was the father of at least 3 children from a previous marriage.
Lucille and John were divorced by 1995, and he died in January of 1996.
During the final years of her life, Lucille used the name Susan Lucille Miller and suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. She died of a stroke at Whispering Pines Health Care Center in Valparaiso, Indiana at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 10 days.
She was survived by at least 2 children, including a son, Ronnie Hoelzel; and a daughter, Sue Smith.
In addition to her son, Bobby Hoelzel, Lucille was preceded in death by her mother and father; and several siblings.
The body was cremated on 25 Aug 2000 by Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, Incorporated in Hobart, Indiana.
