Macon, GA- On a beautiful spring day, April 1, 2017 Esther "Bootsie" Taylor Faulk, 90, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was committed and devoted to her Lord and His church, her family, and her late husband. Her life of humility and service was a beacon to many in all walks of life, and a blessing to all who knew her.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the sanctuary of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM Wednesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Building Maintenance Fund, 7015 Rivoli Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Faulk was born in Macon, the daughter of the late Esther McKenney Taylor and William G. Taylor. She was a graduate of the 1944 Class of Miller High School, attended Wesleyan College and was employed as director of Timmy Turtle Nursery/ARC. Mrs. Faulk was the widow of Alfred Donald Faulk. She was an active and sustaining member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 82 years.
The family wishes to express its love and special thanks to Charles Toomer for his years of faithful friendship and assistance. We would also like to thank the caregivers of Interim Healthcare and Pine Pointe Hospice for their compassion and comfort to her over the many months.
