He was born March 14, 1952, in Greene County to William “Doc” Caddell, Sr. and Mary Maxine (Love) Caddell.
Survivors include his wife and best friend of 43 years, Glenda (Thomas) Caddell of Linton; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tim Cox of Patoka, Ind.; granddaughters, Malea and Xzandra; siblings, Carolyn Sue and Steve Myers of Jasonville, Donald Caddell of Jasonville, John and Cindy Caddell of Bloomfield, Max Caddell and Kim Killian of Linton, Frank and Jackie Caddell of Jasonville; mother-in-law, Naomi Thomas of Jasonville; sisters-in-law, Connie Terrell and Rod Lambermont of Jasonville, Kelly (Thomas) Portteus of Jasonville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Claude Thomas; and grandparents.
He had been employed at Peabody Coal Company, where he operated the wash plant for several years and was operating an end dump before his retirement. He was a member of the Son’s of American Legion Post 172, the Elnora Outdoor Club. He loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing and tinkering in the garage with his sidekick dog, Abbie.
