John R. "Jack" Lockenvitz, 82, of Normal, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday (March 29, 2017) at Heritage Health, Bloomington.
He was born June 9, 1934 in Bloomington, a son to the late John R. Sr. and Lela Streenz Lockenvitz. He and his wife, Maudie, were married in 1955; she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ron Lockenvitz and John Lockenvitz; two brothers, Glenn and Everett Lockenvitz and two sisters, Doris Siron and Rosemary Freed.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Lockenvitz, and a sister, Alta Laesch.
John retired as a heavy machine operator for Local 649.
