Rose (nee Tanzi) Faggiano, age 85, of 154-25 98th Street, Old Howard Beach, NY, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at her home during Superstorm Sandy. After refusing to evacuate, the water rose up to her house and she was screaming for help but no one could get to her due to the intensity of the storm surge. Rose did not own a television and probably wasn't aware about the severity of the storm. She was a widow who lived alone and had no children. Neighbors remembered her as a nice person with mobility who swept the leaves everyday and often walked around the neighborhood.
