Martin Bockelmann of Addison for 52 years The funeral service for Martin Bockelmann, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. James Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Addison. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison. Born Feb. 14, 1918, in Villa Park, he died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, in Glendale Heights. Mr. Bockelmann was a World War II veteran, serving in the 10th Mountain Division. He was an operating engineer for Elmhurst Stone Company, a member for over 50 years of the Elmhurst V.F.W. #2048 and a member of the St. Paul Church Golden Youth. He was the husband for 63 years to Luella (nee Fiene) of Addison; father of Mary Lou (John) Broughton of Arizona; Kenneth (Vicki) Bockelmann of Wheaton, Janice (Ron) Fuglsang of Bloomingdale and Nancy (Steve) Layden of Plano; grandfather of Ken, Eric, Shaun, Brian, Jeff and Kelly; great-grandfather of Samantha and Ryan; and brother of Marie (Wilbur) Krueger of Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 37 Army Trail Road, Addison, IL 60101 appreciated. For information, 630-628-8808.
