Ruth Pietrzak Akacki of Pine Island, NY, died peacefully on August 15, 2013 at the Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. She was 93 years old, the last surviving child of Helen and Stanley Pietrzak.
She was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Edward Akacki Jr. & his wife Sharon of Annandale, VA; Robert Akacki and his wife Elizabeth of Florida, NY; and her daughter Anita Akacki of San Diego, CA; her granddaughter, Kimberly Bailey and her husband Gary of Bealeton, VA; her grandson, Aaron Akacki and his fiancé Shaunah Gordon of Centreville, VA and her great grandchildren Kaitlin, Daniel, Kileigh Rose, Devon, Dylan and Zachery.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Akacki Sr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18th from 2-5PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
A funeral mass will be held 10AM on Monday, August 19th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
