Dilla Deloris Hood, 84, died, March 22, 2017 at her home in rural Tyrone, OK. She was one of 13 children born to Clark Lincoln Rodkey and Myrtle Olive Anderson Rodkey in Buffalo, OK., on August 19, 1932.

She graduated from Liberal, High School in 1949. She married Edward Brady Harness May 16, 1949, he died November 14, 1993. She married Robert Ellsworth Hood October 1, 1996, he died December 31, 2015.

Dilla was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, the Rebecca Lodge of Tyrone and the First Christian Church, Liberal. She enjoyed traveling with their travel trailer, camping and fishing while traveling to see their family. She was a prolific reader and also loved dancing. Dilla always enjoyed entertaining guests and family which glued them all together.

19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grand child

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 7 brothers, 6 sisters, a grandson and a great- grandson.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday March 28, 2017 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Terry Ford officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27th from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with the family present from 5 to 7 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home. 1212 W. 2nd St Liberal, KS 67901

Burial will be in Tyrone Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Dilla’s name to the American Heart Association or to the Donor’s Choice in care of Brenneman Funeral Home.
