WHITE, Winifred Payne died November 2, 2016 in Tucson, AZ. She was born November 6, 1919 in Duncan, AZ to A.D. and Emma Smith Payne. She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Eulas E. White; her son, William "Bill" White and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two brothers, Archie Payne of Virden, NM; and Nevin Payne of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Wanda White Meyer (Charles) of Pomerene, AZ; son, Michael White of Tucson, AZ; and daughter-in-law, Sally White (Bill) of Willcox. Also, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. When her husband retired from S.P. Railroad in 1981, they moved to St. David, AZ where they lived the rest of their lives. Services will be at the LDS Church in St. David, AZ, Saturday, November 12, 2016. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial in St. David.
WINNIE WAS A VERY TALENTED PIANO PLAYER, GIVING HER FAMILIES MANY HAPPY LISTENING HOURS. SHE WAS A KND AND GENTLE PERSON. WE SPENT MANY HAPPY TIMES AT THE STATION RUN BY MY BRICKEY GRANDPARENTS. WINNIE'S HUSBAND, EULAS WAS MY GRANDMOTHER'S BROTHER, AND GRANDMA AND WINNIE GOT ALONG GREAT. WINNIE AND EULAS SPENT MANY HAPPY TIMES DURING HOLIDAYS AT THE STATION, AND THE MANY POT-LUCK SUPPERS THERE.
