A son of Foster L. and Bertha Almeda (Dishong) Strait. He was united in marriage with Thelma Snowden on April 8, 1946 at Hopewell.
He was survived by his wife, seven children, Carrie College, Faye Rhodes, Connie, Carol, Janice, Gail and Jimmie Strait, all at home; and five grandchildren.
Also, he was survived by these five sisters: Mrs. Paul Neal of Huntingdon; Mrs. Melvin Steele of Yellow Creek; Mrs. Harry Chaney of Hopewell RD; Mrs. Herbert Sarver of Manns Choice; and Mrs. Russell Pittman of Bakers Summit.
Mr. Strait was a member of the Penn Wood Bible Church. He had worked at the Sproul Brickyard for 10 years.
