MANSFIELD, LA. - Funeral services for Vivian Luella Harris, 84, will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 22 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, La. Officiating the service will be Steve Casey of Emanuel Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA. and Ron Brown. Burial will follow at Centuries Cemetery in Shreveport, LA.
Mrs. Lu was born July 24, 1924 in Griffithville, Arkansas to Nellie and John Neaville and passed away March 20, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. .
Mrs. Lu was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Edwin Harris. Left behind cherish her memory are her son - Ralph "Pete" Harris and his wife Robin of St. Bernard, LA.; her daughters - Shelia Pugh and her husband Walter Ed of Louisville, MS., Sharon Deas and her husband Rickey of Grand Cane, LA., Ginger Cowling and her husband Robert of Mansfield, LA. and Marilyn "Tootie" Heard and her husband Jimmy of Keithville, LA.; her brother Glen Neaville and his wife Mellie of Ruston, LA.; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Honoring Mrs. Lu as pallbearers will be Sammy Nichols, Spencer Heard, Bridges Hall, Sidney Williams, Beau Thompson, Ty Thompson
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Grace Home in Shreveport, LA. and Emanuel Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA.
The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff at Grace Home, their Mother's sitters, Francis and Barbara, the Cancer Center at Schumpert Medical Center and Dr. Owers and his staff.
