Jo Ann Keehne Cook, 80, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and retired from Radford City Schools with 25 years of teaching.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Frederick and Betty Elizabeth Keehne; son, Stephen J. Irby; daughter Susan Cook Shockey; and grandson, Matthew James Cook.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Billy Ray Cook of Radford;sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Lee and Kimberly Irby of Radford, Curtis Lee and Teresa Cook of Christiansburg, and Billy Ray Cook, Jr. of Elliston; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Alice and Sam Linkous of Blacksburg; brother, William F. Keehne, Jr. of Roanoke; and last but definitely not least, the love and joy of her life, her grandchildren, Robbie, Chris, Scott, Travis, Mary, Sarah, Michael and Robert, and her 6 great grandchildren; and very special grand dogs, Henry, Bella and Chip.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. Richard Patterson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Grove United Methodist Church General Fund, 1020 Tyler Avenue, Radford, Virginia 24141.

The Cook family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
