ONA HILL DIES, AREA PIONEER
Ona Hill, 77, died in Kalispell early Friday morning.
Mrs. Hill was a native of Mexico, Mo. Mrs. Hill had made her home in the Flathead for 55 years. With her husband, who engaged in farming, she made her home in the Creston and Columbia Falls areas.
On Oct. 13, 1896 she was married to D. C. Hill who preceded his wife in death on Oct. 31, 1942.
Mrs. Hill is survived by eight children, Viola May Moon, Russell Edward Hill, Harry E. Hill, James B. Hill, and Cludie Marie Kimes all of Kalispell, Robert R. Hill of Reeds Port, Ore., Annabelle Lauman of Columbia Falls, and Omer C. Hill of Silver Dale, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Leota Baird in Washington; 38 grandchildren, and 64 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hill have been set for Monday at 2 p.m. at the Waggener & Campbell chapel with the Rev. J. M. Grimsrud, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the family section of the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
