Walter E. Sampson
Peru-Walter E. Sampson, 68, Peru, R. R. 2, died at 11 p.m. Friday in Dukes Hospital following two months' illness.
He was a truck driver and had lived in Peru for 15 years. He was born at Rich Valley, Indiana August 17, 1896.
His first marriage in 1913 was to Drucella Newman and after her death he married Addie Clark in 1928. She died in 1964.
Survivors include two daughters and a son, Mrs. Russell Davenport, Mrs. Miriam Case, and Richard E. Sampson, all of Peru; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Richard Correll, Wabash; and Mrs. Charles Snyder, Peru R. R. 1; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Watson, Peru; a half-sister, Mrs. Melvin Saine, Fort Wayne; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in the Drake-Flowers Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Paul Steele officiating. Burial will be in the Ever Rest Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Monday.
