Special to the Journal Gazette OAKLAND, Ill. - Dr. Clarence Snyder, 78, died suddenly about 7:30 p.m. Monday in his home here. He had been in ill health for about two years. The body is at the Taber funeral home. Arrangements for services are incomplete.
Dr. Snyder was born Feb. 1, 1880, near Ashmore, a son of William A. and Margaret Galbreath Snyder. He married Clare Zimmerman Dec. 28, 1898. She survives.
Dr. Snyder attended Kirksville College of Osteopathy, Kirksville, Mo., and began his practice In Oakland in 1915. He retired the latter part of 1956.
In addition to his wife, Dr. Snyder leaves two daughters, Mrs. Olive Coon, Oakland, and Mrs. Margaret Cant, Park Ridge; one son, James, Evanston, and a brother, Dr. C. Paul Snyder, Philadelphia.
