Mrs. Mary Lee Jones
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lee Bates Jones, 77, were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home on the Hartsville Pike, with the Rev. A.D. Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Jones, a native of Wilson County had been ill for several months, died at her home Friday night about 7:45. She was a native of Wilson County and had spent her life here. She was a daughter of the late John I. and Mary Stockett Bates. Survivors are her husband, J. E. Jones; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Judd of Chevy Chase, Md., and Mrs. A. L. Lannom of Nashville; two sons, Sam L. Jones of Mt. Juliet and Robert Jones of Martha. Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home was in charge.
