Talbert Dupre, 39, succumbed Sunday, January 28, at 1:15 p.m. following an illness of several months.
The funeral was held from the family residence in the Plaisance community Monday, 2:30 p.m. with religious services in the Prairie Ronde Catholic cemetery at 3 p.m. under the direction of Lafond and Son Funeral Home.
The deceased is survived by his wife, the former Lelma Dupre, and five children: Larry, Jackey, Charles, Gus and Bernita; his mother, Mrs. Amente Dupre; one brother, Cornelius Dupre of Opelousas; and two sisters; Mrs. Ferdie Dupre and Miss Murline Jane Dupre, both of Opelousas.
