Orray Kasper, 86, of Toronto, Kansas, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at Allen County Hospital, Iola, Kansas.
He was born June 12, 1920 to David J. and Agnes (Stubby) Kasper.
He grew up in Lehigh, KS, moving to Toronto in 1940.
He served in WWII in Rhineland and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He married Dorothy Zieber Oct. 28, 1940 in Iola, Kansas.
He was a farmer and worked in area oilfields.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Norman Orray Kasper, of Jacksonville, AR; a daughter, Joyce M. Branch, of Pasadena, TX; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Edgar Kasper.
Funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at First Christian Church, Toronto, KS, with burial in Toronto Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Toronto, Ks, and may be left in care of the funeral home.
