Ted Bowling 88, of Rushville passed away March 3rd at his residence with his family at his side.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7th, at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with calling from 11AM to the time of service. Burial will follow at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.

Ted Bowling 88, of Rushville passed away March 3rd at his residence with his family at his side.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7th, at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with calling from 11AM to the time of service. The Rushville Fire Department will provide honor guard and transport him on a fire truck to be buried at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.

Ted was born September 28, 1928 a son of the late Jerry F. & Sarah L. (Hollensworth) Bowling. After his mothers passing, he was raised by his step-mother Lavada A. Bowling. Ted married Bessie Thompson Aug. 12, 1971 and she passed Apr. 18, 2004. He retired from the Rushville Fire Department at the rank of Captain. He also was a painter throughout his life. In earlier years, he was a member of the Moose & Eagles. He also enjoyed the American Legion and VFW. He studied as a Jehovah’s Witness.
He was a charter member of IAFF Local 1734.

His loving family include his daughters, Paula (Mrs. Scott) Kirk, Lavada (Mrs. Mark) Sons, Jackie Adkins, Mary (Mrs. Ronnie) Palmer; son, Richard Bowling (wife Linda) Bowling; daughter in law’s Peggy Muller, Rhonda & Becky Bowling; sister in law Mary Bowling; son in law Eddie Farley; many grand and great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death are children Mike Muller, Theresa Farley, Jerry & David Bowling; and siblings Herman, Gilbert, Viola Bowling Mourey, Edith & Grace B Bowling Fletcher.
