Marion was my mom's youngest sister. My mom named her, as she didn't like the name (Martha) her parents picked out. My mom didn't know Marion very well, as Marion was 12 years younger than she was.
Marion broke her hip not long after their middle sister had broken hers, but Ruthie, although 7 years older, recovered. Marion aspirated while in rehab and contracted pneumonia. She was transferred back to the hospital for treatment and then back to rehab again. Apparently her condition deteriorated there and she passed away last night.
Marion is survived by one sister, one daughter and her husband, her daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Dave and her son Barry. Barry died just a little over 8 months ago.
Rest in peace now Marion. You're back with Dave, Barry, my mom, and your parents.
