"Al Heritage Dies
Albert D. HERITAGE, age 52, prominent resident of Virginia for many years, died last Friday night at Rochester where he had undergone an operation the day before for a brain tumor. He had been ill for several months and had been taken to Rochester early last week when his condition became worse.
Mr. HERITAGE came to Virginia in 1909 and became associated with the Virginia and Rainy River Lumber company as head timekeeper. He left that concern in 1923 and went to the coast, only to return two years later and enter the employ of the W. T. Bailey Lumber company. He later organized an accounting business.
Mr. HERITAGE was very prominent in social and civic activities here and served six years on the city council as alderman from the Fifth ward. Survivors include his wife, his father and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Odd Fellows temple under the direction of officers of the Missabe lodge No. 222, I. O. O. F. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery." Virginia Area Historical Society, Virginia, Minnesota
