Blackshire Dixie Mae, 69, died Sept. 14, 2003. She had retired from Silgan Plastics after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and American Legion Auxiliary No. 243. She was born Dec. 1, 1933 in Lefthand, W.Va., to Robert Levi and Freda Bell (Potts) Myers. Surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Tom Beckner of Wawaka and Sandra and David Magnus of Ligonier; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Norma of Ligonier and Marvin and Vicki of Albion; 5 brothers, Jim, Darrell, Benny, Billy Ray and Keith Myers; 2 sisters, Sally O'Brien and Virginia Bright; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert, in Oct. 2002; a brother, Harry; and 5 sisters, Barbara, Viola, Madelyn, Clara and Estel. Services Wednesday at Orr Funeral Home. Burial, Oak Park Cemetery. ^ 9-15-2003
