THE PARIS NEWS, 30 Jul 1965: ‘A retired Frisco Railroad brakeman, B. F. Howard 83, of 3255 Lamar Ave., died Friday at 5:20 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Indiana, 3 Oct 1883, son of Charles W. and Amanda Howard, and had lived here since 1910, retiring in 1946. The funeral is arranged for Monday at 2 p.m. in Gene Roden and Sons chapel, interment to be made in Meadowbrook cemetery. Mr. Howard leaves his wife, the former Lona Willis whom he married at Floydada, 23 Dec 1901; these children; Leon Howard, Paris; Mrs. Lottie Williams and Mrs. Myrtle Lee Shelton, Dallas, and a brother, Edgar Howard, Monett, Mo.’
