Marvin E. Bowman, Sr., 70, of Little York, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on October 18, 1946 in Washington County, Indiana, the son of Jesse Lee Bowman and Mary Virginia (Babbs) Bowman. Marvin was a retired laborer and had worked at the old Fleenor’s Saw Mill. He was a member of the Mt. Hebron Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and enjoyed trading and working on cars, trucks and motorcycles. Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Lee Bowman; a brother, Randal Bowman and a son-in-law, David Fleenor. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nellie J. (McKillip) Bowman; four daughters, Rhonda Fleenor (Mike Pirtle) of Little York, Indiana, Karen Barry (Keith) of Salem, Indiana, Tammy Turner (John) of Madison, Indiana and Marcia McCowan (Roy) of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons, Marvin Bowman, Jr. (Lisa) and Ricky Bowman (Tonya Cornett) all of Little York, Indiana; his mother, Mary Bowman of Brownstown, Indiana; nine brothers, Ernest Bowman (Brenda) and Frank Bowman (Nancy) all of Crothersville, Indiana, Jesse Bowman of Scottsburg, Indiana, William Bowman (Jenny) and Jimmy Bowman (Carolyn) all of Brownstown, Indiana, Steve R.
