Funeral was held Wednesday of last week for Benjamin H. Harris, 73, of 1300 E. Polk, who died at his home Monday o last week after a long illness. He retired from the post office in 1958 and was a former employee of the US Naval Ammunition Depot. Survivors are his widow, Minnie, of the home; two daughters, Helen Coppenger and Margaret Autrey, both of McAlester; two sons, Earl Harris of Krebs and Kenneth Harris of McAlester; two brothers, Jess L. Harris of Burbank, Calif., and W. E. Harris of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Doolittle of Seminole and Mrs. I. T. Kilgore of Antlers. Services were in the chapel of Mills Humphrey Funeral Home. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military rites.
