Abraham Allen, the son of Reuben Allen and Else Clevenger, was born in Shenandoah Co. VA in 1794, moved to near Newport, Cocke Co. TN, with his family to join the Big Pigeon Baptist Church.
He married an unknown woman in Cocke Co. prior to 1816, and she died not long afterwards. He moved to Ray Co. Mo, in about 1821, married an Elizabeth (Frakes?) (I have heard she was born in 1805)and later moved back to Cocke Co. TN, then returned to Ray Co. Mo once again. Abraham died in 1844, and is buried in the Old Allen cemetery northwest of Orrick, Ray Co. Mo. I am descended from the daughter of Abraham Allen and his unknown first wife. The daughter's name was Winnie who married Martin Lewis.
