Donald Eugene Ranker, 62, of Oldtown, died Monday in Memorial Hospital. Born Aug 1, 1920 in Hyndman, Pa., he was a son of the late Elmer Ranker and Maggie (Bingman) Ranker. He was a pipefitter for the Chessie System, a member of Moose 271, Brotherhood of Railway Sheet Metal Workers, and the Worldwide Church of God. He is survived by his widow, Rosa (Sarver) Ranker; two brothers, Elmer Ranker Jr., Buffalo Mills, Pa., and Ronald Ranker, New Britain, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. The Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
