Ronald L. Ranker of New Britain Township died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. He was 76. Ronald was the beloved husband of Maxine L. Kegg Ranker. Born in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer and Maggie Bingman Ranker.

Ronald was a former resident of Bedford, Pa., before moving to New Britain in 1964. He was an accomplished truck mechanic who worked for Asplundh, and eventually Glenside Ready Mix, until his retirement in 2002. Ronald was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and in his leisure time, he enjoyed being outdoors where he would camp, hunt, fish and garden. His true joy in life was quality times he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ronald will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Maxine, Ronald is survived by his children and their spouses, Diane R. Brown and her husband, Nelson, of Sellersville, Daniel L. Ranker of Sellersville, Darryl L. Ranker of New Britain, Darla L. Cooper and her husband, Paul, of Buffalo Mills, Pa., and Danette L. Moran and her husband, Thomas, of Dublin. He also is survived by his four grandchildren, Dennis, Dana, Alexander and Hannah; and two great-grandchildren, Jaelynn and Dennis Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, and Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. until his funeral service 11 a.m. in Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Ronald's interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery in New Britain.
