Jeannette Buss, Appleton, age 76, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Appleton Medical Center. Jeanette was born May 1, 1930, in Chili, Wis., the daughter of Walter J. and Lily (Hantke) Klapper. She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, and was united in marriage to Lester J. "Curly" Buss on November 13, 1949, at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Jeanette was a homemaker, and enjoyed the simple life. For many years, the Buss family spent great times together at Shawano Lake, and Jeanette tended to her flower garden there. She liked playing games with her grandsons, croquet was one of her favorites. She was an avid reader and a good cook. The family Christmas gatherings were always at the Buss home and Jeanette prepared the holiday meal.

Survivors include her husband, Lester "Curly" Buss; her son, Gerald (Nancy) Buss, of Black Creek; three grandsons,: Gerald Buss, Jr., San Francisco, Calif; Jesse (Tracy) Buss, and their children, Evan Casey and Avree Buss, of Black Creek; Jason (Erin) Buss, and their children: Curran and Korbyn Buss, of Kaukauna. She is further survived by two brothers: Ervin (Audrey) Klapper, Green Bay; and Robert (Jean) Klapper, Fremont; two sisters-in-law: Mary Klapper, Green Bay; and Mildred Utecht, Tigerton; and a brother -in-law, Leonard (Germaine) Buss, Appleton.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Laverne and Orville.

Funeral services for Jeanette will be at 4:00 p.m Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Wichmann Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.
