DEFRANZO: Angelo (Michael) DeFranzo, age 78, beloved husband of Cecelia Canale DeFranzo of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2007 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford with his loving family by his side. Mr. DeFranzo was born on September 22, 1928 in Bridgeport and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, before moving to Shelton 17 years ago. He was a truck driver for the Herman Issacs Company for 25 years and had retired from Dresser Industries where he worked in their maintenance department for 15 years. In addition to his devoted wife, Cecelia, of 57 years, he is also survived by two sons, Michael A. DeFranzo and his wife, Arleen, of Milford and Joseph R. DeFranzo and his wife, Jerrilynn, of Seymour; three daughters, Linda Lupulio and her husband, John, of Seymour, Terry Varrone and her husband, John, of Seymour and Michele Dias and her husband, Carlos, of Shelton; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Kristen, Lauren, Maria, John, Alex, Amanda, Briana, Tyler and Alexa; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Austin and Dylan; two brothers-in-law, Robert DiCicco and Edward Farran; a dear friend, Mildred; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his parents, Gerard (Jerry) and Philomenia Mastondrea DeFranzo; one brother, Carmen; and four sisters, Antoinette, Viola, Jean and Philomenia. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Monica's Mausoleum in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
