James Druie "JD" Williams, 81, of Eufaula passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. JD was born on August 18, 1935, in Fame, OK the son of Druie Cecil and Rena Pauline (Self) Williams. He attended Fame Schools & graduated from Stidham High School in 1953. On July 6, 1953, JD married Bonnie Sue Tucker. He worked for the United Farm Agency and Real Estate Company. JD attended the Tulsa Welding School. JD was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1, the Bedouin Shrine Temple, and Bedouin Shrine Mounted Patrol and was a 32 Degree Mason. In 2013, JD received a certificate in the Pipe Liners Union 798 recognizing his membership for that Local for more than 50 years. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline. He was elected County Commissioner for District 3 in McIntosh County in 1994 and served until 2004. JD was a pipe line inspector for ten years. JD was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eufaula. Survivors include: wife, Bonnie; son, Dave Williams; daughters, Vicki Efurd & husband Jerry & Carol Campbell & husband Bradley; brothers, Jerry Williams & wife Susie of Crowder & Danny Williams & wife Carrie; sister, Barbara Dixon; 7 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of family & friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Neoma Lee McIntosh, 2 brothers in law, Leon Dixon and Thomas McIntosh. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. J. Ingram and Roley McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at the Fame Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
