Mrs. Harrell was born Sept. 6, 1913 in Coles County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Clem and Jessie (Roberts) Coartney. She married Ted Harrell in 1932 and was well known in the Wilmington Community, having served in many capacities. She worked at Hermes Womens and Childrens Store, drove a Wilmington School Bus and later worked as a dietician for District 209-U at Bruning School.

Survivors include her loving son, Lyle (Mary) Harrell, Orion, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kip Harrell, Phoenix, Ariz., Kim (Tom) Adlfinger, Rock Island, Kelli (Rock) Walker, Geneseo and Kent (Julie) Harrell, Waseca, Minn.; and five great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Melanie Walker and Eva, Vivien and Charlie Harrell; three sisters, Maridean Barton, Coal City, Iris Jean Bell, Waco, Tex. and Betty Sanders, Paw Paw, Mich.; two brothers, Bill (Tidge) Coartney, Alpine Calif. and Don Coartney, Prescott, Ariz.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; son, Gary; and five brothers and four sisters.

Age 93 years.
